Casa Maria is a wonderful convent and retreat center located in Birmingham and run by the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word. They are Franciscans who have taken both St. Francis and St. Dominic as their patrons. I had the opportunity once to make a short retreat there and can highly recommend doing so.
