Little Office of St. Dominic

To celebrate the feast day of our founder St. Dominic on this date I’m providing a link to a pdf version of the Little Office of St. Dominic from the 1957 Devotions to St. Dominic. Little Offices have declined in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council being replaced with a more widespread use of the Liturgy of the Hours, in itself a good thing, there are still a few that continue to be indulgenced such as the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and St. Joseph. Also with a partial indulgence is the once widespread Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The strength of the Little Offices is that they are much simpler to use and are focused on a particular devotion. They make a wonderful addition to the Liturgy of the Hours. In the future I hope to post a modernized version of the Little Office to St. Dominic. It will probably only include Morning, Evening, and Night Prayer with Scripture readings from a modern translation.
