Second Miracle Submitted for Bl. Pier Georgio Frassati

Just received the following news from our Provincial Promoter for the Laity Fr. Lydon:

“I am happy to report that a second miracle has been submitted to Rome regarding Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, OP. The first ‘miracle’ involves a young girl healed of cancer under her tongue.The second was a recovery from a coma which involved a severe trauma to the brain. Both of these ‘miracles’ occurred in the U.S. Please pray for the investigators, doctors and postulator. As some of you may know May 20, 2015 is the 25th anniversary of the beatification of Frassati.”

Every month you will have assigned readings in Scriptures, the Catechism, and sometimes other books to complete. It is suggested that you do some of the readings every day. You may do them as you wish. In the Appendix section there are suggested daily readings from Scriptures and the Catechism which will correspond to the Reading List for the month. It is a long-standing Dominican custom to pray for our deceased brothers and sisters each evening. Derived from an ancient practice of burying the dead beneath the cloister walkway, the friars pray in the cloister, at the refectory (dinning hall) entrance. The Prior normally leads the prayer.
